JohnRiggs – It’s always interesting to see what the same game looks like and plays like on other platforms. Here part 2 of NES games that were also on Atari 2600.
John Hancock – The NES had some awesome arcade ports that captured the “spirit” of the arcades. In this video, I take a look as some of the ports offered, and why some of these are my favorite. This will be a multiple part series. Which ones shown were your favorite? What others do you recommend?
The Retro Champ tries to be the “Switch” for NES/Famicom cartridges, but sadly fails in many key areas. I wanna like it…but NOPE…
PROS
good size, feels well built
I like that there is a rechargeable battery
turns on and boots up very quick
Supports thousands of physical games
CONS
Screen is not crisp at all. Looks like 240p footage instead of upscaled
D-pad is a little shallow and mushy
Has a death grip on your NES cartridge
Famicom cartridges are very tough to get out because they’re flush with the system. You need to either use that special tool to push them out or another NES cartridge which is kind of weird and bad design
You’ve probably played this game. Probably, If you didn’t have it, you knew someone who did. And now it’s time to review it, because we only recently got around to getting it ourselves and we need more Toaplan in our diet, apparently. Get ready for Tiger-Heli. How does it stack up?
Russell Eck created this one of a kind Nintendo NES with Triforce logo using walnut, cherry and redheart woods with amazing attention to detail. Check out his work here: https://www.facebook.com/RussellEckWoodworking
Episode 242 – Here we discuss (with examples) of things in gaming that really twist our panties in a wad. What are some things that games do that make you angry?
Wow, this is my first ever attempt at making a video about “news” — not something I plan to do often AT ALL, but I thought this was actually kind of an interesting story where there’s more to it than meets the eye!
I had the day off, and somehow I managed to turn a video around in 24 hours. Definitely a personal record, but probably only applicable to news format type videos unfortunately…research makes everything else take a heck of a lot longer!
Anyways, there’s more stuff in the works but I hope you enjoy this!
