I got out on my bike a couple times this week because the weather was nice. However, despite consistently “closing my rings” and getting workouts in 6 out of 7 days a week (see below a screenshot of my Monday through Sunday fitness trends) and trying to watch what I eat, I’m kinda stuck. My weight goes back and forth 3~4 lbs. I don’t know if I’m working out too much and building muscle or perhaps still eating too much. I know my age and metabolism is definitely to blame as well as its just more difficult to lose weight when you are older. A few weeks ago I fasted and that’s when I seemed to lose the most…so I may try that again.
Lon.TV – Valve’s newly announced SteamDeck PC gaming handheld is getting a lot of buzz but it won’t be a Switch killer. But it might achieve the holy grail of being an affordable and functional handheld gaming PC.
Snazzy Labs – It’s pretty rare that Apple releases a product to market nowadays that doesn’t perform well. Even niche products sell in the tens of millions; however, the HomePod released in 2017 is estimated to have sold around just 5 million units during its product life cycle. The product is discontinued—dead—but still continues to get new updates with iOS 15. Why? Is Apple doing something behind the curtain that we just can’t see? Today, we take a look at Apple’s other failed hi-fi speaker—one that launched over 15 years ago at the exact same $349 price point. Why do they keep screwing these speaker systems up? What might they be planning for the future? Have they given up and settled on HomePod mini? I don’t think so…

DoubleFineProd – As part of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Double Fine adjusted to remote work. While some employees are slowly returning to the office, it was still a long time spent at home. In this quaratine video, Tim (pre-haircut) walks us through his colorful and unique workspace.
IGN – We went to Valve’s office to go hands-on with its new handheld gaming PC, the Steam Deck. IGN’s own Bo Moore goes in-depth on how its controller feels, its desktop mode, its price and models, and a whole lot more.
The Steam Deck, is a handheld gaming PC with a form-factor similar to that of a Nintendo Switch. No hard release date has been given, but the Steam Deck has a launch planned for Holiday 2021, with a pre-order reservation system launching in the near future. The price starts at $399, with models that have more storage at $529 and $649 as well
Modern Vintage Gamer – As a developer of Nintendo Switch games im a little concerned about the direction Nintendo is taking with the new Nintendo Switch OLED Model. So lets talk about it in a new episode.
I earned a new exercise record on Saturday according to my Apple Watch, 112 minutes on Saturday alone. That happened because I worked out in the morning and did a couple walks around Seattle. I’m shooting outdoor footage for this Friday’s video and that has me all over the place. It should be a good video. Stay tuned!
You’ll also see below that I closed all my rings (Standing, Workout and Move rings) 6 out of the 7 days.
